Butternut health assessor
Fully qualified assessment of butternut health
The Butternut is at risk of extinction. If you have one on site you must call in a Butternut Health Assessor.
Butternut Health Assessment
The Buttenut is a tree listed in Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, 2007. Many trees are infected with Butternut Canker, a fungal disease that often results in tree mortality, while others remain unaffected. For developers with a Butternut on site, a Butternut Health Assessor must be called in to identify the tree and write a report for the Ministry of Natural Resources. (MNH)
Valuable advice on Butternuts
I am a Butternut Health Assessor qualified to carry out the MNH’s assessment report and give advice and guidance on what the implications are of having a Butternut on site – whether it is healthy, diseased, naturally occurring, retainable or non-retainable tree.
